Sharp Devices Europe has announced two additions to its small TFT LCD line-up. The two
continuous grain silicon (CGS) displays include a 1.6-inch (1.56” diagonal) transflective
colour LCD suitable for use with wearable technology and a 2.95-inch diagonal SVGA+
LCD. The new displays were conceived for personal audio visual (PAV) applications.

The 1.6-inch LS016B8YUxx is a thin, high-performance panel for wearable product designs.

Sharp Devices Europe (SDE) has announced two additions to its broad range of industrial
LCD panels, the 15-inch LQ150X1LX95 and the 19-inch LQ190E1LX75. The new displays are
the first of their kind to be made from eighth-generation (8G) glass substrates.

The new displays boast contrast ratios of 1500:1, symmetrical viewing angles (L/R, U/D 85°),
built-in LED drivers, and more than 70% of the NTSC colour gamut. The panels also feature

Sharp Devices Europe has today announced a ground-breaking partnership with Amscreen that will see their technologies combined to create the first truly affordable and scalable outdoor screen solution.

 High levels of contrast, brightness and sturdy construction – Sharp adds two new models to its range of 15-inch industrial displays. 

 

The new 12.1'' (31 cm) industrial TFT LCD with 800 cd/m² expands Sharp's series of high brightness displays with a very robust model. The company now offers four TFT LCDs with brightness levels exceeding 600 cd/m².

From 80 inches down to just a little more than1 inch: Sharp shows latest innovations in the range of e-signage displays, industrial grade TFT LCDs and Memory LCDs for low power applications at the stands of different partners: Arrow (hall 5, booth 405 and hall 4A, booth 206), Avnet Embedded (hall 1, booth 249) and Data Modul (hall 1, booth 356).

With the new e-Signage series, Sharp gets started in 2012 by concentrating on diagonals between 60 and 80 inches. The portfolio includes high-brightness screens with up to 2,000 cd/m², ultra high resolution displays, and large-size standard LCDs that are especially optimised for applications in the signage sector.

Arrow Electronics and Sharp are to present for the first time a reference design for extreme power-saving, mobile applications at the Design & Electronics Developer Forum “Ultra Low Power” on 5th October. Even in full operating mode, the Oryx Board has an input power of only 26 mW*.

 

High brightness displays for e-kiosk applications and vending machines are in the focus of Sharp's presentation at the stand of Avnet Embedded during Screenmedia EXPO (London, UK, May 18/19 and Digital Signage EXPO (Essen, Germany, May 24-26).

Sharp has extended its industrial display portfolio with two high-brightness models with 19-inch (48 cm) and 23-inch (59 cm) diagonal screens, LED backlighting, and a service life of up to 50,000 hours
